Dark Clouded Intentions by Pete Roth

This is a unique little artifact. A few months back Pete Roth posted about a direct-to-vinyl project he would be undertaking. It was pretty straightforward, you went on the website, made a song selection, and then Pete’s live performance would be immortalized on vinyl, lathe-cut style. Think Third Man Records’ Voice-o-Graph recording booth.

I received the record a couple of weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised to hear Pete give the D and me a shout out right before ripping into a lively rendition of “Dark Clouded Intentions”. I’m happy to say the recording is all the good and bad that comes with lathe-cut records. Be sure to give Pete Roth a listen, follow, and most importantly, a share.
